일류가 되려면, 세상이 원하는 기준에 따라 일하라! (Work According to the Standards the World Wants)

"Standards" - 태초부터 사용된 용어입니다. 우리 모두는 황금률, 십계명 또는 심지어 물리학의 기본 원리와 같은 보편적인 표준이 있다는 것을 알고 있습니다. 그러나 우리의 일상 생활, 일, 관계에 적용되는 표준은 어떻습니까? 세상이 우리가 따르기를 바라는 기준은 무엇입니까?

우리 중 많은 사람이 이러한 기준에 반항하고 싶은 충동을 느낄 수 있습니다. 우리는 남들과 다르고 독특하기 위해 우리만의 방식으로 일하기를 원할 수 있습니다. 그러나 우리는 세상에는 나름의 기준이 있으며 이를 가볍게 여겨서는 안 된다는 점을 기억해야 합니다. 세상은 우리가 열심히 일하고, 정직하고, 신뢰할 수 있고, 의미 있는 방식으로 사회에 기여하기를 기대합니다. 이것이 우리가 성공하기 위해 따라야 할 표준입니다.

위대한 스티브 잡스가 말했듯이 "당신의 일은 당신 삶의 많은 부분을 채울 것이며, 성공할 수 있는 유일한 방법은 진정으로 만족하는 것은 당신이 위대한 일이라고 믿는 일을 하는 것입니다. 그리고 위대한 일을 하는 유일한 방법은 당신이 하는 일을 사랑하는 것입니다." 이것이 세상이 우리가 따라 살기를 바라는 표준입니다. 우리는 최선을 다하고, 우리가 좋아하는 일을 찾고, 열정과 헌신으로 일하기 위해 노력해야 합니다.

하지만 이러한 기준을 충족하기에 자신이 부족하다고 느끼는 사람들은 어떻게 해야 할까요? 그들에게 나는 "자신과 자신을 믿으세요. 당신 안에 어떤 장애물보다 더 큰 무언가가 있다는 것을 아세요."라고 말합니다. (기독교 D. 라슨). 우리 모두는 위대해질 수 있으며 의심이나 불안감이 우리를 주저하게 해서는 안 됩니다.

물론 단지 열심히 일하고 자신을 믿는 것만은 아닙니다. 우리는 또한 의사소통을 잘하고 열린 마음을 갖고 다른 사람들과 잘 협력하는 법을 배워야 합니다. 아프리카 속담에 "빨리 가려면 혼자 가고, 멀리 가려면 함께 가라"는 말이 있다. 협력과 팀워크는 오늘날 세계에서 성공의 열쇠입니다.

결국 세상이 우리가 따르기를 원하는 표준은 우리를 방해하기 위한 것이 아니라 앞으로 나아가기 위한 것임을 기억해야 합니다. 그것들은 우리에게 도전하고, 우리가 성장하도록 돕고, 우리가 최고의 모습이 되도록 돕기 위한 것입니다. 그러니 열심히 일하고, 자신을 믿고, 세상을 더 나은 곳으로 만들기 위해 함께 노력합시다.

"Standards" - a term that has been used since the beginning of time. We all know that there are universal standards, such as the golden rule, the ten commandments, or even the basic principles of physics. But what about the standards that apply to our daily lives, our work, and our relationships? What are the standards that the world wants us to follow?

Many of us may feel the urge to rebel against these standards. We may want to do things our own way, to be different and unique. However, we must remember that the world has its own set of standards, and they are not to be taken lightly. The world expects us to work hard, to be honest, to be reliable, and to contribute to society in a meaningful way. These are the standards that we must follow if we want to be successful.

As the great Steve Jobs once said, "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do." These are the standards that the world wants us to live by. We must strive to do our best, to find work that we love, and to do it with passion and dedication.

But what about those who feel that they are not good enough to meet these standards? To them, I say, "Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle." (Christian D. Larson). We are all capable of greatness, and we should never let our doubts or insecurities hold us back.

Of course, it's not just about working hard and believing in yourself. We must also learn to be good communicators, to be open-minded, and to work well with others. As the African proverb goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Collaboration and teamwork are key to success in today's world.

In the end, we must remember that the standards the world wants us to follow are not meant to hold us back, but to push us forward. They are meant to challenge us, to help us grow, and to help us become the best version of ourselves. So let us work hard, believe in ourselves, and work together to make the world a better place.
